Wayne Cockfield is a seasoned guitarist with a background in arranging, directing, and teaching, whose playing blends refined technique, melodic phrasing, and tasteful improvisation in performance—ideally suited for the groove-driven, harmonically rich world of contemporary jazz.

Wayne studied at the Musicians Institute and Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, learning from jazz legends Jimmy Wyble and Don Mock and holds a B.A. in Music and an M.M. in Music Technology from Coastal Carolina University.  


He's performed in national productions such as Nashville to Broadway, Always Patsy Cline, and Stars of the Lawrence Welk Show, as well as The Alabama Theatre, Legends in Concert, and The Palace Theatre. 


Wayne Cockfield brings professionalism, musicality, and a deep understanding of jazz language to every project—on stage, in the studio, or behind the scenes.

Bobby Bush is an accomplished bassist with a background in music arranging, musical directing & production, whose playing is an amalgamation of styles and techniques developed over many years of performing Pop, R&B, Funk, Latin and contemporary jazz. 


Bobby is a degreed professional, having studied at Berklee School of Music in Boston and

Bobby is a degreed professional, having studied at Berklee School of Music in Boston and Towson State University in Baltimore, respectively. 


During the 70s and 80s, he was a session bassist around the DC / Baltimore area and in the 90s, worked as a bassist for shows at the Studio Theater in DC.   Bobby has performed as bassist for the Blackbyrds, The Motown Revue, The Gettys, Tim Eyermann & East Coast Offering, Jaared, 

Jean Carne, The Atomic Brothers, Marty McCall and many others.


Bobby Bush brings a wealth of musical knowledge, professionalism and experience to every project and show, live performance, studio session or backroom.

Skip was born into a musical family in Upstate New York. His dad led a highly successful dance band and his grandparents were vaudeville musicians. 


Throughout his childhood there were always musical instruments around and Skip became adept at many of them. Keyboards, bass guitar, guitar along with many miscellaneous instruments in additi

Throughout his childhood there were always musical instruments around and Skip became adept at many of them. Keyboards, bass guitar, guitar along with many miscellaneous instruments in addition to lead and background vocals and vocal arrangement.


He began playing music professionally at the tender age of 8 years old, beginning a journey that would last a lifetime. Skip has worked with many artists around the country, including Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers and a stint as Music Director for legendary comedian Rich Little, along with many performances with bands of all genres. 

Skip is a welcome addition and is looking forward to performing with the amazing musicians in Show Biz Kids.

Steve Kirkman has performed and taught Percussion and Drum Set professionally since 1982. 


As a drummer Steve has backed up many artists including Glenn Campbell, Ray Charles, Shirley Caesar, and Joe Williams. 


He's also played for the European Broadway Tours of West Side Story and Fame, playing on the European Cast Recording.

Steve is a former head of Percussion at Coastal Carolina University, Limestone College, Greensboro College, and Winston-Salem State University. 


Since moving to Myrtle Beach, Steve has played in many of the local theaters, performing with The Gatlin Brothers, Crook and Chase, and The Alabama Theater Show. 

Steve and his family are Myrtle Beach residents.

Joe Torres has been one of Long Island’s most sought after vocalists for decades. His vocal range, beautiful tone, and ability to adapt to any style of music has landed him work with a vast array of acts whose genres include jazz, rock, R&B, Italian, Latin, funk, disco, and pop.

Joe Torres has been one of Long Island’s most sought after vocalists for decades. His vocal range, beautiful tone, and ability to adapt to any style of music has landed him work with a vast array of acts whose genres include jazz, rock, R&B, Italian, Latin, funk, disco, and pop. 


Over the years he has worked with Michael McDonald, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, and Martha Wash among others. A staple on the Long Island club scene for years Joe has performed with some of the finest acts in the metro area including 20 Highview and That 70’s Band. 


Starting at age 14, Joe has performed his entire life only stepping away to serve a 4-year stint with the Marines. Oorah! 


Currently Joe now resides in North Carolina but continues to tour with the "Doobie Others" while performing locally with accomplished R&B acts, and now with Show Biz Kidz!

Decades of honing and refining a unique vocal style, multiple recordings and a plethora of stage performances have cemented Kerensa Gray’s reputation as a singer, storyteller, composer, and teacher.  


Often compared to jazz royalty the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and songstresses of past generations, she interweaves elements of Ja

Decades of honing and refining a unique vocal style, multiple recordings and a plethora of stage performances have cemented Kerensa Gray’s reputation as a singer, storyteller, composer, and teacher.  


Often compared to jazz royalty the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and songstresses of past generations, she interweaves elements of Jazz, folk, blues, R&B, and classical to create sound that is undeniably hers. 


After many years in church  music, Kerensa too the plunge into jazz.  In 2009, she entered the Billy Holiday Vocal Competition in 2009, and to her surprise won the Maryland based contest, followed by her 2009 release of “Let me be me”, a mix of gospel and jazz stylings.  


In 2012, she joined Nashville, TN based Creative Soul Jazz and producer Eric Copeland to produce “Bliss” and her 2016 offering “Take Me In”.  Keremsa's  latest  release is her 2024 project “Snapshots” with Nashville based producer/arranger Jason Webb.
